Call for Manuscripts
Are you knowledgeable or impassioned about a topic relevant to the field of
Student Assistance or Employee Assistance? Would you like to pass on your
knowledge to others? If so, we would appreciate your contribution to EAP Digest
or Student Assistance Journal. We are currently accepting material suited for
either publication.
Topics of particular interest for Student Assistance Journal are:
•How to help students who self-harm
•Intervention techniques
•How to set up support groups
•How SAPs can fight obesity
•How SAPs can work together with community groups
•How to prevent bullying
•Crisis Prevention
•Helping those with mood disorders such as bipolar, depression, anxiety
•Diversity issues
•Anti-drugs, using art, music and community services to prevent drug abuse
•Research-based programs or initiatives your school uses to address physical
and social bullying
•How you’ve handled a budget crisis or funding for your program and/or how
to obtain grants
•How to reach children that don’t seem to care about anything
•Model SAPs, standard prevention curriculum
•“Self Talk” columns that offer personal encouragement to your professional
colleagues
•“Groupwork” columns — share a group activity you developed.

Submission Guidelines::
Article Length: Please submit articles that are an average length of
1,000-2000 words. The title should be followed by the author's name and contact
information as it is intended to be published. If there is more than one author,
list the names on separate lines in the order they are to appear. Authors are
responsible for the accuracy of all submitted materials including references,
quotations and name spellings. All materials other than specific quotations must
be the author's own work. If there is significant use of copyrighted materials
in the article, the author is responsible for securing permission to use the
material.
Authors are encouraged to include related readings, resources or references,
such as a short list of publications that may help readers learn more about the
content of your article.
